Alternatively, l'Oiseau d'Or offers an adaptation on a poem by Villiers de L'Isle-Adam (poem used by Fauré himself in a melody for voice and piano entitled "Nocturne", op.43 n°2), the musical text for choir and piano by Fauré being scrupulously respected.
